Meet Emmanuel Gbenro Ajibade , a model, actor and film maker. He was brought to the public scene via the famous Mnet show, Tinsel, where he played the role of Soji Bankole, the bartender and aspiring photographer. The actor, who celebrates his birthday every 8th of December was born in Maiduguri in Borno state but was raised in Makurdi, Benue state. He is the fourth child in a family of six children. He graduated from the Benue State University in 2005 with a degree in Biology Education.
His foray into the limelight began with modelling, and his auditioning for Tinsel was by accident as he had thought it was a modelling cast. Tinsel was his first stint at acting and he has since gone on to feature on other productions such as Gbomo Gbomo, Wages and Twisted Thornes.

As a model, he has graced many runways, home and abroad and continues to pursue this passion alongside his acting. Though he says he is an introvert, he has also described himself as a fun loving person who loves cartoons and animations, hangouts with friends and cooking. He also loves to work out, which is very much evident. He loves power bikes and he used to be a proud owner of one, till he had to swap it for a car, which was more practical at that time. He belongs to the Easy Riders Club, Ikeja.
He was a brand ambassador for some companies and has also been a recipient of some awards for his acting.
Gbenro Ajibade is married to his sweetheart, Osas Ajibade (nee Ighodaro) whom he had met on the set of Tinsel too. They have a daughter, Azariah Tiwatope Osarugue Ajibade
