Smokey eye look is a dramatic eyeshadow look that speaks volumes. When you are going for that dark, mysterious, “i know plenty but i won’t share” look, try the smokey eye.
Although it pops better on people with lighter skin (women of color inclusive), it doesn’t mean that if you are darker that you can’t give it a trial to see if it suits you or not.
The classic smokey eye look is the one done with black shadow, but there are also others that would pop more on darker skinned people, like the gold smokey eye. It’s all about finding out which works best for ya!
The key thing to know is that you should always prime your lids with an eyeshadow primer so the look lasts longer and also, blend your eyeshadow well (using the right brushes) so you have a seamless look. 
Always add an eyeliner to this look and for more drama, reach for your falsies too.
