I think my new ankara fabric love has got to be the mix-match ankara styles, we just can’t get enough of them. The beauty in the pairing of different patterns of ankara fabric lies in knowing how to make the mismatched look work and work perfectly.
It has gone beyond just doing a patchwork pattern of fabric pieces to out rightly wearing different prints and patterns of the fabric. But then, depending on the look you want to go for, you can either try out Ibinabo Fiberisima’s style of using just a little piece for subtlety, if you are not confident to go out dressed fully in mix-match patterns.
For the bold ones, you can do Ronke Fella’s style, who decided to go with a kimono, trousers and top, all ankara and all different colors and patterns. She found the best blend though, by pairing her look with a plain brallete, which incidentally has a color that occurs in both the kimono and the trousers for a more balanced look
