The World War I epic, “1917” and “Once Upon a Time…..in Hollywood” were big winners at the 2020 Golden Globes, which held on Sunday, 6th January. The 77th Golden Globes was hosted by Ricky Gervais for the fifth time. Celebrities used the opportunities to speak on topics dear to them: the bushfires in Australia, abortion rights and possible war with Iran took center stage in the speeches delivered by the awardees.
Awkwafina broke records by being the first lead actress winner of Asian descent for the comedy “The Farewell.” Renee Zellweger also won for her role in “Judy”, as well as many others.
