Richard “RMD” Mofe-Damijo is not a new name in Nigerian entertainment industry, as he has been in the game for decades. The ever handsome “movie lover-boy” was born in 1961 on the 6th of July at Aladja community in Delta state.
He is an Urhobo man and had his early education in Delta state and later went on for is degree in the University of Benin, where he graduated with a degree in Theatre Arts. He also decided to study Law in the University of Lagos in 1997 and graduated in 2004 from the citadel.
RMD has acted in many movies along side other popular actors and actresses. His stint in movies came via a television series and he also once worked as a reporter with a newspaper and a magazine.
The movie that brought his to limelight was Out of Bounds, which he was both writer and producer. He has since acted in many other movies since then. His most recent works being the Wedding Planner and Okafor’s Law, where he played major roles.
He was once Commissioner for Culture and Tourism in Delta state. He is married to a former Television girl, Jumobi Mofe-Damijo, nee Adegbesan and they have four children together, but RMD has an older child from his previous marriage.
