There are several professional women; you could either be working from an office environment like everyone else or you could be working from home either ways there would be times when you have to be on a video conference call, go for meetings, presentations etc.
As a woman, competing in a professional world can be tough and so you would require a few important skills and being able to appear professionally is one of the major skills.
While a “Professional dressing” all depends on the industry, you should understand that there are some rules that apply to them all, one of this includes do not dress too loudly (with the exception of actors and music artiste and general artsy/creative people).
It’s important to note that you are your own sales person and therefore you should dress in the way that you want to be addressed but this doesn’t mean that you should not dress appropriately.
While over-dressing is loud and gets people to roll their eyes (at least they see you) underdressing doesn’t even leave a response, in short nobody even notices your existence, to them you might probably be another random human being they walked by (if they even remember at all).
While am not in support of either of these two I believe there is the need to strike a balance. You should remember that the way you dress in every industry is critical, your attire should always remain beautiful and professional without causing an uproar or upstaging a meeting or the person you have a meeting with.
Keep every piece of the outfit simple, beautiful and tasteful (modesty is also a requirement as nobody wants a view of your bosom or butt).
Remember draw attention to yourself without showing off, this would help you in your meetings… While these thoughts sink in here’s a visual motivation on the best corporate outfit ideas……….
