In this tutorial by As Told By Her, she showed us how she does her intricate bun updo style. This is a different way of wearing the regular bun and does takes the popular style from basic to chic. It does make it look like more effort was put into the hair as well.
She doesn’t use much styling products for the hairstyle, the items used are what all naturalistas possess in their hair grooming kit. It may just be a brand variation, especially for the gel and leave in conditioner, so use what you have available at home.
she also ensured that her hair was stretched out prior to styling in order to maximize length.
