Wash and go style is a simple option for a lot of naturalistas as it can be done regardless of the length of your hair. The beauty of this style is simply that you give a little bit of definition to your hair with the use of a styling gel, that is the idea of this style.
But as the style says, it is WASH and go, that means it is done on freshly washed and conditioned hair.
As you can see in the video, she first sectioned her hair and held the sections in clips so as to make it easier for her to work with, then she sprayed her hair with some water, applied her curl enhancing smoothie by Shea Moisture (this is optional) some decide to go to the next step and just use their leave in conditioner instead.
While applying these products, she rakes them in,(a subtle combing motion with the fingers) this is to enable the coating of the strands of the hair as the aim is to have each strand curl as much as possible.
After applying the leave in conditioner, she then goes in with some amount of hair gel. The gel is what gives the curls their staying hold, so you cannot skip this step really. A lot of naturalistas favor the Eco Styler brand of gel as most of them give good hold without a flaky or whitish look at the end of the day.
Repeat this to all the sections of the hair until you are through and wait for your hair to dry.
Viola! You are done!
