For a lot of owambe events nowadays, lace is picked as the asoebi (uniform outfit) most especially for the ladies. Gone are the days when ankara was the choice fabric du jour. The only downside to this choice is that lace fabrics are more expensive compared to ankara fabrics or even most other fabrics. Fabrics are sold per yard and some lace fabrics can start from N2000 per yard upwards, compared to ankara that can be N500 per yard upwards.
Lace fabrics are also more delicate than ankara and so must be sewn and worn with care to prevent easy tearing. The colors of lace fabric rarely bleed or run when being washed though, which may usually occur with poor ankara fabrics.
That said, let’s leave you to enjoy these lovely and trendy lace asoebi styles we have put together for ya!
