Some Home Remedies For Hair Breakage
In the post about causes of hair breakage, if you avoid the previously mentioned causes and you still continue to experience breakage, try the following remedies for hair breakage to strengthen your hair
Never hold on to split hairs. When you have split hairs and try to hod on to it for length’s sake, you will only make things worse as the split will travel down the hair length and cause more damage. Trim your hair when needed in order to prevent this. Every three to four months, you can get your hair trimmed about half or a quarter of an inch.
Moisturize your hair and deep condition often
Before washing your hair, do hot oil treatments to strengthen it. Hot oil treatment involves heating up some oil in a hot water bath and applying to your whole hair. Cover with a plastic or shower cap and leave on over night or for some hours before washing.
Eggs, when combined with other ingredients are a great way to prevent breakage, just ensure that you deep condition afterwards since eggs are proteinous and would act as protein treatment.
1 tablespoon Honey, 2 tablespoons Olive oil and 3 Eggs mixture (increase depending on hair length)
Mix all three together and apply to dampened, cover hair and wash after 30 mins. Rinse off with lukewarm water so eggs don’t curdle in your hair.
Coconut milk used overnight is a great way to stop breakage. Just ensure the hair is well covered with plastic cap before you sleep.
Adding some Vitamin E capsules into your shampoo is also a way to strengthen your hair and nourish it.
Onion juice is great for hair breakage s it is rich in sulfur. Wash it well afterwards.
Aloevera is great for moisturizing, soft and shiny hair. Apply it and leave for 20-30 mins before washing the hair.
Try any of these and see if it helps. Let me know if you did.
