No matter the cause, pimples should be dealt with. So here are a few tips that you can follow to treat your acne and get a healthy, clear and glowing skin.
Baking soda is a great option to treat acne and also prevent it in future. It is a great exfoliator, and also reduces inflammation and clears up the skin.
Lemon Juice is one of the most effective natural cleansers due to its high acid content. It clears out the impurities clogged in the pores of the skin. Lemon juice has properties such as natural astringent and antibacterial properties which is great for clearing up the skin.
Toothpaste dries out the pimples and reduces their healing time. Its antibacterial properties play a vital role in eliminating the bacteria that cause pimples. Using a cotton swab, apply a generous layer of toothpaste on the pimple.
You can use essential oils like lavender oil, lemon oil, grapeseed oil or peppermint oil.
Tea tree oil
Tea tree oil is a natural medicine that helps to regulate the body temperature and treats skin related problems. It helps treat your acne and can even prevent its occurrence. Tea tree oil has antiseptic properties and thus is used in the treatment of cuts, burns, and other skin disorders. Applying on minor burns, tea tree oil soothes them too.
Apple Cider Vinegar
Apple Cider Vinegar is a great option to treat acne as it has antibacterial properties, as well as antifungal properties. Apple cider vinegar contains malic acid which makes it a good defence against viruses, bacteria and fungus and thus can prevent acne and pimples that are a type of fungal infection.
Turmeric is a natural product for improving complexion and fighting common skin problems like acne, pimples, and dark spots. It is an age old Indian cure for most infections because of its antimicrobial properties. Turmeric powder helps by removing the excess oil and destroying the bacteria and thus prevents acne and pimple.
Honey is a miraculous acne mask and removes pimples easily. Being a natural antibiotic, it kills the bacteria that cause pimples. It also has hydrating properties and keeps the skin healthy. Apply this honey on the pimple area and let it dry.
Aspirin is an anti-inflammatory agent and helps reduce the swelling due to accumulated pus. It also draws out moisture from the pimple and unclogs pores. Crush the aspirin tablet and add a few drops of water. Mix well to form a paste. Apply the paste with a clean Q-tip or finger on the pimple. Let the paste dry.
Aloe Vera gel can be used for acne vulgaris treatment and also on larger areas like the entire face or the back. It has antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties and helps to reduce redness and skin irritation.
In all of these, drink water. I repeat drink water! Water flushes out toxins and helps keep the skin hydrated.
