Divalukky’s creative head, Anita Chialuka Ebeledike, created a whimsical movement to the classic 1813 poem by Lord Byron – “She Walks in Beauty” . A poem that focuses on female beauty and scrutinizes the idea of romantic harmony between inner goodness and aesthetic perfection.
Anita drew inspiration from the way society celebrates beauty within the modern culture, while utilizing a color selection that employs the poem’s exploration of opposing forces – darkness and light which represents the juxtaposition of cool and warm tones pieces presented in the collection.
To the creative director, this project was a personal catharsis as she had to take a nostalgic trip to the moment she fell in love with fashion and explore themes in art, including poems, while portraying her flair for the romantic movement. This sense of wistful reminisce gave birth to her most personal collection to date.
