Every September brings the Fashion New Year, that comes with runway shows that showcase various designers’ Spring/Summer Collection for the next season. The most prominent fashion weeks are held in the fashion capitals of the world, the ‘Big Four’ which are New York, London, Milan, and Paris.
These Nigerian models are repping as they walk the runway at the New York Fashion Week!
Mayowa Nicholas
Undoubtedly, Mayowa is one of the biggest fashion models from Nigeria. Ever since winning the Elite Model Look in 2014, she has been unstoppable working with brands like W Magazine, Mango, Dolce & Gabbana, Saint Laurent, Calvin Klein amongst many others. Currently at NYFW, she already graced the runways for Ralph Lauren and Jeremy Scott. She also just announced her being scheduled to walk at Victoria’s Secret 2018 show.
Also, a part of our list is the stunning Olivia who is currently busy shutting shows down one at a time. Ulla Johnson, Brock Collection, Kate Spade, Jeremy Scott, Milly, and Christian Cowan are some of the designers she does have on her resume for fashion week. Need more names? She already has Jacquemus, Marc Jacobs and Miu Miu all in the bag!
The model is represented by Few Models here in Nigeria and modeling giants, IMG Models abroad. IMG also represents A-listers like Lily Aldridge and Bella Hadid. Vogue, Brandon Maxwell and Fenty X Puma are brands on-board with The Few Girl!
Adesuwa Aighewi
The Chinese-Nigerian model is already a sensation as she has already walked on runways for Gucci, Dior, and Channel. Adesuwa has also worked with brands like Prabal Gurung, Kate Spade, Marc Jacobs, Bottega Veneta. Oh! did we mention that she’s quite groundbreaking and a trendsetter? Yeah, that too!
What could be more monumental than opening for Hermes? We are still trying to figure that out! Ulla Johnson and Area to add to list so there’s no denying her ability to strut!
