These Homemade Body Scrubs Will Give You That Glowing Skin You Desire

Exfoliation involves the removal of the oldest dead skin cells on the skin’s outermost surface. In order to maintain a radiant skin, we must start regular exfoliation. Throughout the year, our skin goes through changes and is forced to adapt to the revolving seasons so to keep our skin smooth and bright all year round, we must exfoliate regularly. Give any one of these simple scrubs below a try and let us know how they worked for you!.

Baking soda scrub

The range of what baking soda can do just seems to be getting wider and wider. It can freshen the air, remove stains, clean showers and sinks and trigger explosions in science fair volcanoes. Oh, yes, we can use it to bake too. But there is one more non-food-related use to add to baking soda’s resume: face exfoliant. The grains in baking soda are just the right size to act as a gentle exfoliant, and many claim that it has helped clear up acne.

Ingredients:

  • Baking soda
  • Facial cleanser
  • Water

Directions:

  1. Mix baking soda with your facial cleanser to make it an exfoliating cleanser. (You can also make a paste of just baking soda and water.)
  2. Gently rub it onto your skin and leave it on for 5 to 10 minutes before rinsing off.

Gentle Oat Scrub

  • ½ cup old-fashioned oats
  • Water

In a blender, pulse the oats until ground. Pinch the ground oats into palm of hand, then add water until paste forms. Gently massage into face and neck. Store ground oats in airtight container for later use.

Honey & Brown Sugar Scrub

  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar (the finer the better)
  • 1 tablespoon honey

Mix brown sugar and honey together and gently apply in circular motions to aid in exfoliation without damage. Rinse with warm water and wash cloth to remove.

Lemon And Sugar Body Scrub

You will Need
  • 2 tbsp Sugar
  • 1 tbsp Honey
  • 1 Whole Lemon
Method
  1. Slice the lemon in half and squeeze its juice into a bowl. To this, add the other ingredients and mix well.
  2. Cleanse your skin and apply this paste onto it.
  3. Use your fingers to gently massage the mixture, in circular motions, on your skin.
  4. Take 5-10 minutes to gently massage and exfoliate your body, spending 1-2 minutes on each part.
  5. Wash the mixture off using a hydrating body scrub and lukewarm water.

Coffee And Sugar Body Scrub For Glowing Skin

You will Need
  • ¼ cup Ground Coffee
  • ¼ cup Sugar
  • 2 tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 3 Vitamin E Capsules
Method
  1. Combine all the ingredients until you get a coarse paste.
  2. Cleanse your skin and apply this paste onto it.
  3. Use your fingers to gently massage the mixture, in circular motions, on your skin.
  4. Take 5-10 minutes to gently massage and exfoliate your body, spending 1-2 minutes on each part.
  5. Wash the mixture off your body using a hydrating body scrub and lukewarm water.
