Gorgeous Fashion Scene At The 2018 L’Ormarins Queen’s Plate Racing Festival

The L’Ormarins Queen’s Plate is an annual event held in Cape Town, South Africa. As one of the most stylish events on the Cape Town calendar, it takes place at the Kenilworth Racecourse and it is one of the most high-profile highlights of the horse racing calendar.

This is an exclusive event where high fashion marries high stakes. The race first first run in 1861 with a prize of a five hundred sovereigns and a silver plate donated by Queen Victoria, the Queen’s plate has seen one hundred and fifty six winners to date.

The dress code, which guests are asked to comply with is blue and white and there is even a Best Dressed and Best Hat competition for those who are appropriately eligible.

This event took place on the 5^th and 6^th of January, 2018.
