The polka dot pattern has been around for over a century and is a trend that continues to come back into vogue. Polka dots are a classic and tend to go “in” and “out” of trend every few seasons but they surely always do come back. This print was liked and worn by the likes of Princess Diana, Audrey Hepburn and Marilyn Monroe. The print is timeless and continues to reappear on the runways.
“I don’t think there is ever a wrong time for a polka dot”, said fashion entrepreneur Marc Jacobs and we can’t help but agree with him.
Almost everyone is going dotty for polka dots these days . It’s easy to spot this retro trend on the high street, where it is available in many styles and colours.
The trick to pulling off polka dots is to keep your silhouettes modern and the dots fairly small. If you favor large round circles, keep the rest of your outfits minimal.
